SHOP ATTENDANT
The Shop Attendant supports daily shop operations by assisting with material handling, equipment operation, deliveries, and general shop upkeep. This role requires a dependable, safety-focused individual who works well in a team environment and is willing to learn new skills. The position may include driving company vehicles and operating shop equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Motivated with a good attitude
Strong attention to detail
Team player
Willing to learn
Valid Class A driver’s license
Metal fabrication experience is a plus, but training is available
JOB DUTIES
General shop support
Material handling (loading, unloading, organizing)
Operating a forklift
Driving dump trailer and company vehicles
Local deliveries and material pickups
Assisting with metal fabrication
Shop cleanup and maintaining a safe, organized work area

WORKING CONDITIONS
Hours of work
Full-time position. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Depending on workload and project needs, occasional Saturday work may be required.
Overtime expectations
Overtime may be available as needed depending on workload and scheduling. Additional hours are more common during the summer months, and flexibility during busy periods is appreciated.
Work environment
The Shop Attendant will work both in the shop and out in the field on job sites as needed. Work conditions may vary and include indoor and outdoor environments, exposure to hot and cold temperatures, changing weather, noise, dust, and typical shop and job site conditions. The employee must be comfortable working in these conditions and follow all safety procedures.
Travel requirements
This position may require occasional out-of-state travel to support job needs, including delivering materials or transporting machines and equipment. Travel requirements will vary based on project demands.
Special conditions or requirements
This position requires maintaining a valid Class A driver’s license, safely operating company vehicles and equipment, and following all safety procedures. The employee must be able to perform physical work, work overtime or occasional Saturdays, and travel out of state as needed to support job requirements.
